Week 67 — Back after a short break!

  • Short week this week because of a public holiday in Canberra on the 27th of May (though I took the previous Friday off instead).
  • Abby and I were in Melbourne last weekend for Abby's work — though she stayed the whole week and I only spent the weekend and Monday. It was a nice trip! The weather was just warmer than Canberra, which made returning home a bit of a shock. I got to try out some changes I made to the Blame Game pre-constructed deck from the recent Magic: The Gathering set release. We didn't get to finish our game, but it was looking to be a promising game! I had a Ghostly Prison and a Maze of Ith out, which was doing wonders to redirect attacks from me to my opponents!
  • I'm back on my Destiny 2 nonsense again recently, getting ready for the next expansion (which promises to wrap the story that's been building over the last 10 years). I've largely spent my time with my non-main Guardians (Hunter and Titan), and have played with some pretty fun builds. A Shards of Galanor build on my Hunter, that allows for incredibly frequent use of its super ability (provided I actually hit some things with it!). And a Cuirass of the Falling Star build on my Titan, which basically turns her in to a giant bolt of lightning, making it really fun to clear out a room full of baddies! Neither of these characters have all that great gear outside the few exotics, so min/maxing the stats I want isn't possible right now, and I don't think I'll spend all that might time trying to do that, but it's fun to jump in to some new-to-me classes and get a fresh look at Destiny after almost exclusively playing Warlock.
  • I have been working on a small side-project to help with syndicating posts from this site, and other places to my social media accounts. It's called reprint.computer and I've been using it to syndicate posts over the last few weeks. There are still a couple of kinks to work out, help docs to write, and I need to add more services to post too, and then I plan to open up sign-ups for folks to also easily syndicate stuff across the web.
  • Also, I think I'm going to go back to titling these posts, I've kinda missed the fun it brought to wrapping up the week with a silly post title 😆
