Week 48 — Smell ya later 2023 ✌🏽

We did it. We made it through 2023! onwards to all the great* things 2024 has to offer us.
This week has been pretty relaxing! More relaxing than usual for the week between Christmas and the New Year.
Christmas day was lovely (a little stormy and rainy, but better than 1 million degrees and dying in front of the BBQ).
Boxing day was full of cricket and leftovers, and a visit to the cinema to watch Poor Things (10/10, would recommend).
On the 27th we visited some friends and their newborn, then my brother and his partner for boardgames and dinner.
On the 28th we visited some more family to drop off some presents and then popped in for lunch at Abby's Dad's place before an evening of Magic: The Gathering at my brother's. I played this nonsense deck, but had a ball doing my best to pilot it.
Then on the 29th we drove on home! The weather was pretty nice until we got in to NSW, and it started bucketing down. And of course everyone drove to the conditions 🙃.
It's super nice to be back home with the dogs and our bed for a short break before heading back to work for the year.
I spun up a local instance of Llama 2 to summarise my week notes from this year, this is what it pulled out as common themes:
