Week 45 β All the celebrating!
- I spent part of this week in Melbourne, and I think 3 days or so is the perfect amount of time when I'm also travelling in to the office each day. Any more and the exhaustion sets in from not being used to the commute π .
- I caught upon with some ex-campers on Wednesday, and it was great to see they had landed in pretty excellent roles!
- We had our work end of year party this week as well. It was so nice to get to just chat with a bunch of folks about non-work things. The venue (pink lemonade) was the perfect size, and the food was surprisingly tasty!
- I also had a going away thing for a mate this week who's heading over to the states in a few weeks. The thing I really like about work is that the people we hire are excellent. As teams are reshuffled, and people are laid off, the excellent people get thrown to the wind. Thankfully it's easy to keep in touch with folks within the org and continue to build friendships!
- I'm way behind on the Advent of Code things. Even though I have my work laptop with me, I have been out most nights, and also don't really feel like cracking open my work laptop after work! My plan is to get through a couple extra each night over the next few nights, but we'll see how we go!
